kmpressed ornament of the year 2026! A collage-style ornament that feels both familiar and new.
This listing is for ONE unique, handmade glass and copper ornament. This small, square piece measures 3x3", featuring beveled glass and hangs from a length of sage green velvet ribbon. A nature collage scene of real botanical elements appears on a wash of indigo "stained glass" sky. Autumn olive leaves, real sycamore bark, a fern leaflet and queen anne's lace come together to depict a cozy cottage nestled in a snowy landscape.
Each ornament contains a collage done by hand with hand-pressed plants on a glass backdrop painted by hand. The nature of the process, organic nature of the plants, and handmade process mean that each piece will be unique. Please view all listing photos to see examples of possible variations. I will make every effort to make these pieces as consistent as I can, but let's embrace the handmade charm too!
This one-of-a-kind ornament bring a bit of unique sparkle to your wall or Christmas tree, and would make a great gift for friends or loved ones!
PLEASE NOTE: to delay natural fading, keep this ornament from direct or bright sunlight. Although it would look beautiful hanging in a window, this will cause the flower inside to quickly fade.
